Watch Algonkian Indian and Whistling Swan sculpture move from old museum to new museum

The Milwaukee Public Museum will close its current location at 800 W. Wells St. on January 3, 2027. In spring 2027, the Nature Culture Museum of Wisconsin will open at 1310 N. 6th St. to officially replace the MPM. As part of this transition, the Algonkian Indian and Whistling Swan sculptures are moving to the new facility. The giant swans sculpture has already been successfully installed at the new museum site for future public viewing.
