Tom Petty’s Original Heartbreakers to Reunite for First Time in Decades for Americana Awards, Fronted by Chris Stapleton; Boxed Set of ’70s Rarities Coming

The original lineup of Tom Petty’s Heartbreakers will reunite for the first time in over two decades. Fronted by Chris Stapleton, the band is scheduled to perform an opening set at the Americana Honors this Wednesday night. This marks the first full performance since the death of Tom Petty. Additionally, the Tom Petty Estate has announced a comprehensive new box set titled Origins 1971-1978, which chronicles the artist's early work and features various rarities from the 1970s.
