Tech Bosses Warn U.N. AI Is “Risk to Humanity as a Whole”

Executives from leading AI firms, including OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, testified before the UN Security Council. They urged the United Nations to implement global regulations to prevent the industry from growing out of control. Amodei warned that poorly managed AI could risk humanity as a whole, while Altman highlighted risks of losing control over the future. The France-convened meeting also addressed the differing regulatory approaches currently utilized by the US and China.
