Surprise: God Of War Laufey Has A Release Date, And Its Kratos-Led Sequel Has Been Announced

Sony Santa Monica Studios and Sony Interactive Entertainment announced that God of War: Laufey will launch on PlayStation 5 on February 16, 2027. Revealed at San Diego Comic-Con 2026, game director Cory Barlog confirmed the title will include physical discs, despite Sony halting disc production from 2028. Additionally, Barlog confirmed that a subsequent God of War game featuring Kratos is in development, following the story of Faye in the upcoming Laufey release.
