State of Decay Dev Survives Xbox Layoffs, Goes Independent as Third Game Targets PS5

Undead Labs, the Seattle-based developer of State of Decay, has survived recent Xbox layoffs and is now an independent, employee-owned outfit. The studio previously confirmed it was transitioning out of the Xbox umbrella to operate independently. Despite this separation, Undead Labs has officially confirmed that State of Decay 3 remains in active development. The developer continues its work on the third installment of the series while maintaining its new status as an independent studio.
