Salt + Smoke to close Ellisville and Hampton restaurants

Salt + Smoke, a St. Louis-based barbecue chain, will close its Ellisville and St. Louis Hills locations on August 1. The owner announced the decision via social media, stating it followed extensive reflection after over a decade of expansion. While these two sites are closing, the remaining six locations will stay open and are reportedly doing really well. The company continues its operations across the other established venues despite the reduction in its total number of restaurants.
