Phil Collins revealed to The Times of London and MOJO magazine that he nearly died in 2024 due to health complications from alcohol abuse. The Genesis frontman was admitted to a Swiss hospital for addiction in late 2023. After an initial discharge, he was readmitted in critical condition, leading others to believe he was passing away. Collins, who also manages Type 2 diabetes, described himself as very lucky to have survived the severe illness.
