Overturned big rig blocks lanes of I-238 in San Leandro

A big rig overturned on northbound Interstate 238 at the Interstate 880 connector in San Leandro, causing significant traffic disruptions. The California Highway Patrol reported that the driver fell asleep, leading to the jackknifed vehicle blocking multiple lanes. As of 5:23 a.m. Friday, only one left lane remained open while crews worked to upright and remove the rig. The incident forced the closure of center and right lanes during the recovery operation.
