One person seriously hurt following crash in Newfane

Two separate incidents resulted in serious injuries. In Newfane, the Niagara County Sheriff's Office reported a crash around 6 p.m. Friday on the 7000 block of Ridge Road involving a southbound pickup truck, leaving one person seriously hurt. Additionally, a 15-year-old boy was hospitalized in serious condition after being shot early this morning in a Halawa Housing parking lot. Authorities are investigating both the vehicle collision in New York and the shooting incident in Halawa.
