Nintendo Reportedly Canceled A Ubisoft-Developed Zelda Game Starring Ganondorf

Ubisoft Milan reportedly pitched a Zelda spin-off to Nintendo featuring a new universe. Initially developed under the internal name Goliath with a new protagonist, the project later shifted to make the iconic villain Ganondorf the playable character. This would have marked the first time Ganondorf starred as a protagonist outside of the Super Smash Bros. series. However, the plan ultimately fell through, resulting in the cancellation of this unique project and a major gaming what-if.
