Microsoft is quietly killing its Copilot+ PC brand

Microsoft is reportedly phasing out its Copilot+ PC branding for Windows laptops. Originally, this label required specific hardware, including an NPU with 40+ TOPS, 16GB of RAM, and 256GB of SSD storage. Recent evidence suggests the shift, as the new 12-inch Surface Pro and 13-inch Surface Laptop showcased at the Snapdragon Summit meet these technical requirements but no longer feature the Copilot+ PC badge. This indicates the end of the movement after an initial push in early 2024.
