Lyft and Baidu enter London’s robotaxi battleground as testing begins

Baidu has initiated the testing of its robotaxis in London, fulfilling a commitment made last year. This operation is conducted in partnership with Lyft and Freenow. Specifically, Baidu's Apollo Go autonomous vehicles will be integrated and available through Freenow, the mobility network that Lyft acquired in 2025. This strategic move marks the entry of both Lyft and Baidu into the London robotaxi market as they begin their collaborative testing phase within the city's transport infrastructure.
