Luis Valdez’s play ‘Valley of the Heart’ takes on new life as immersive, educational multimedia

Luis Valdez’s play ‘Valley of the Heart’ has been transformed into an immersive, educational multimedia experience. This project focuses on Japanese internment and is an initiative of the state library's state-funded Civil Liberties Program. The goal is to bring history to life by utilizing primary sources, specifically the voices of individuals who lived through these events, providing teachers with a more effective method to engage students with historical narratives through direct personal accounts.
