Discord has officially started rolling out age-verification measures today, following a delay since February to incorporate more diverse age-assurance options. To address privacy concerns and previous data breaches involving digital IDs, the company is implementing an algorithmic combination of factors to estimate user ages automatically. Verification will be required when these automated systems cannot determine age. Additionally, Discord is launching a sponsorship with FanDuel while enforcing specific account limits for users under the age of 18.
