Cinelease Buys Up Grip and Lighting Gear From Quixote

Cinelease has acquired the Grip Lighting and Pro Supplies assets from Quixote to scale its Hollywood studio services. This move comes as Quixote continues to reduce its operational footprint following a production slump, having previously wound down its soundstage business in April. As part of this transition, the Hudson Pacific-owned firm is laying off 60 staffers. The acquisition allows Cinelease, led by Louis Dargenzio, to expand its equipment rental offerings while Quixote exits the ancillary equipment business.
