Busan’s Asian Project Market Unveils 30 Selections for 2026 Edition

The Asian Project Market (APM), part of the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), selected 30 projects from 20 countries for its 2026 edition. The platform received a record 604 submissions from 48 countries, increasing by 149 entries from 2025. Selected filmmakers include Mouly Surya, Reza Rehadian, and Prasanna Vithanage. Japan contributed three projects, featuring Mori Tatsuya, the 2023 BIFF New Currents Award winner for September 1923, amidst a current cinematic renaissance in the country.
