Britain forms squadron to strike threats in orbit

The Royal Air Force is establishing No. III Space Effects Squadron, marking the first British unit specifically designed to disrupt, degrade, and deny hostile activities within space. This development follows warnings from Air Chief Marshal Sir Harv Smyth at the UK Space Power Conference. He emphasized that Britain must be fully prepared to win in an increasingly contested space domain as orbital threats grow, ensuring the nation can effectively strike and neutralize threats in orbit.
